Beachgoers won't be able to park on the road at Cobo this summer after the area was made a no-waiting zone to stop people doing it.
In previous years, it's become accepted that a line of cars will be parked along the corner from Albecq towards Cobo Bay.
However, Traffic and Highway Services has now said that has got to stop.
After listening to concerns from members of the public, and discussing the issues with Guernsey Police and the Castel Douzaine, THS says it is adding ‘No waiting in this road’ signs along the Cobo Coast Road to the north of Mim’s kiosk.
"These will make it safer both for those walking along the footpath and those driving along the coast road," THS said in a post on Facebook.
"To make sure that these signs are respected, Guernsey Police have agreed to pay particular attention to this area."
THS is hoping to encourage people to take alternative means of transport to the beach suggesting cycling or catching the bus rather than taking your car.
"Why not take the stress out of finding somewhere to park by cycling or catching the bus?," THS wrote on Facebook.
"There are two sets of cycle hoops at Cobo, one next to each car park, or the 41, 42, 91 and 92 buses will take you directly to Cobo Bay."
