Guernsey's front line emergency service personnel have paused to thank the health care workers on the front line of the battle against corona virus.
Clapping on a Thursday evening, at 20:00, has become a regular occurrence over the last three weeks.
Families have been standing on their doorsteps banging pots and pans as well as clapping and tonight the 'blue light' workers joined in.
Members of staff from Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service, Guernsey Police, Guernsey Border Agency and St John Ambulance gathered in the grounds of the Princess Elizabeth Hospital to show their support to their health and care colleagues.
Another good turnout along our lane, all ages out clapping to show their support #GuernseyTogether https://t.co/9uTg9Vofbq

They were joined by people across the Bailiwick who took time out from their evenings at home to clap.
Home Affairs President, Deputy Mary Lowe, who has political oversight of the emergency services, was among those showing her appreciation.
