Charlie Cox appointed Association of Guernsey Charities Vice-Chair

Saturday 18 May 2024

The Association of Guernsey Charities has announced the appointment of Charlie Cox, a director of the organisation since 2022, to the position of Vice-Chair.

Having built her career locally in the voluntary sector in roles including Director of the Samaritans, Service Manager of The HUB and subsequently CEO the Youth Commission for Guernsey & Alderney, she is also a Trustee of Carers Guernsey, on the committee for the Guernsey Deaf Children Society and a volunteer for Home-Start.

“I am incredibly passionate about the role of charities in the Bailiwick and I am delighted to take on the role of Vice-Chair at the AGC,” she said.

“The AGC plays a vital role in raising awareness of the third sector and promoting all the brilliant work of its members.

“I’m particularly invested in supporting staff and volunteers for our local charities to give them the resources they need to continue providing services to the community.”

AGC chair Wayne Bulpitt said: “We are absolutely delighted that Charlie has agreed to take on the additional responsibilities as her breadth and depth of experience and knowledge of the third sector will be invaluable to us as we continue to develop increased support and resources for charities in the Bailiwick.”

The AGC’s current campaign #withoutus is raising awareness about the often unknown role charities play.
