A number of former business premises, and a church hall, could be used for housing - if the DPA agrees.
Among planning applications lodged last week was one from Nut Tree Ltd, the owners of the former Grandes Rocques Bistro.
The restaurant and bar closed in 2021.
Having been empty ever since with 'to let/for sale' signs in the windows, the owners have now decided that part of it could be better used as a property of multiple occupancy.
Nut Tree Ltd has therefore asked for permission for a change of use from restaurant to residential.
The ground floor would be used as a premises of multiple occupancy while the first floor would be retained for business use as an office.
Elsewhere, in town two properties could also be granted a change of use to provide housing instead of empty offices.
Fairdaniel Investment Ltd owns Legis House, at 11 New Street.
The three storey building could be redeveloped as five flats if permission is granted.
Also in St Peter Port, a ground floor office on Victoria Road could be converted to a flat or bedsit if an application for a 'change of use' made by owner R Carvell is approved.

It's not only former businesses that could be re-utilised as residential properties either.
The Constables of St Andrew's have asked the Development and Planning Authority for a change of use of the parish church hall.
Situated behind the church, the application asks if it can be converted into residential units instead.
They've also asked for permission to widen the pedestrian pathway to maintain access to the grounds.
