Views are being sought on retail shopping habits and how people would like to see the sector developed in town and other community centres.
It’s being led by the Guernsey Retail Group in partnership with Island Global Research with the findings to be incorporated into a retail plan for the island.
Questions ask why people visit shopping area, how positive their experiences are, what would make them visit more often, what items are shopped for, and how they travel in.
It takes up to 15 minutes to complete HERE.
Jonathan Creasey, Chair of the GRG, said future design must be matched with public expectations and needs.
“This is therefore not just focussed on shopping but is designed to establish opinions on our centres for accessing hospitality, amenities and other services.
“This is an ideal opportunity for Islanders to put forward their opinions on how Town and other commercial centres can adapt in order to best meet current and future needs of local residents.
“We ask, and encourage, as many people as possible to complete the survey as the findings will represent the collective voice of the Guernsey shopper and are therefore valuable to the retail sector.”
Deputy Neil Inder, President of Economic Development, added: “We recognise the importance of a healthy, vibrant and relevant retail sector and will be interested to hear what people would like from the local shopping experience in the future”.
