A further 35 positive cases of Covid-19 have been identified, one of whom is in hospital receiving treatment for another condition.
There are now 142 known active cases as numbers continue to rise since four cases - of no detectable origin - were picked up last Friday.
The Bailiwick has now been marked as a 'red zone' by our sister Channel Island, Jersey, whose government have decided that anyone arriving in Jersey from Guernsey, Alderney or Sark will have to isolate for at least 10 days.
The change coincides with the first time that covid case numbers in Guernsey have outstripped those in Jersey, which currently stand at 117, in many months.
Of the newly identified cases, there is one patient with Covid-19 in hospital, with the States saying they were "admitted for another health reason".
Pictured: It has been confirmed today that schools will remain closed next Monday, with cases linked to 11 educational settings including St Sampson's and Le Murier.
The Civil Contingencies Authority is also considering whether to make the use of face coverings mandatory in public places.
At least 29 of the island’s cases stem from an unknown community source, while others have been linked to The Ship and Crown and The Crow’s Nest.
Anyone that visited those premises between 18 and 22 January has been urged to quarantine for 14 days, even if they don’t have symptoms.
