Emergency services attended a vehicle fire at Petit Bot on Monday morning this week.
Upon arrival the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service and Police found the vehicle to be fully burnt-out, and difficult to identify.
The car was a described as an estate, possibly a Volvo or similar, but as yet the owner has not been located and the Police hadn't been informed of any car thefts at the time this one was found burnt out.
All Volvo owners, or owners of similar cars, are asked to check if it is where they left it and to contact the Police station if it is found to be missing. Anyone with information about the fire is also asked to call the Police station, to speak to PC 65 Donnelly on 725111 or email him on carl.donnelly@guernsey.pnn.police.uk.
Guernsey Police also want to remind vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are locked when not in use and to remove any keys from in or near the vehicle.
