Can things get any verse? Lockdown inspires local poet

Thursday 10 December 2020

Karen Robinson has been writing a poem every day since the island’s lockdown began and is now releasing them all in a book.

‘Can Things Get Any Verse?’ will be on sale in the run up to Christmas.

Mrs Robinson’s father illustrated the front cover and her son helped with the formatting; she has described it as a ‘real family affair!’

Since releasing the book to the public she has sold more than 200 copies and is donating £1 from each sale to the Samaritans and Guernsey Mind.

It’s on sale in Lexicon, Acorn Interiors, the Coach House Gallery and will also be available at some of the Christmas markets.
