A large group of young people have been involved in an incident at Guernsey's main bus terminus.

It happened on Wednesday night, around 20:50 near the public toilets at The Albany.

Guernsey Police said it "involved a large group of youths" and the investigating officer would like to speak with any witnesses to the "altercation".

The bus terminus at The Albany has seen previous incidents of anti social behaviour and allegations of assault, with Guernsey Police saying in June 2018 that officers would be 'cracking down on it'.

At that time, Express was told by a business owner in the area who wished to remain anonymous, that officers had been called to the terminus on a number of occasions to deal with fights, abusive language, underage drinking and other issues.

When approached by Express, Guernsey Police said, while there had been allegations of anti-social behaviour at that time, often the young people were not doing anything wrong in the eyes of the law.
