Guernsey Police are investigating after a house near Cobo was broken into last week, and a number of items were stolen.
It took place sometime between 15.30 and 23.30 on Thursday 20 February at a detached house along the Route de Cobo.
The burglar(s) got in by smashing a window at the back of the house, which they are believed to have accessed by climbing up scaffolding.
Numerous pieces of jewellery were taken, including brands such as Burgmeister, Tiffany, Hamilton and Cartier, many of which have sentimental value.
A freestanding safe was also stolen, along with a number of antique cutlery sets and an Indian bedspread.
A suitcase stolen from the address was later found in a carpark along Vazon coast road.
Anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in the area last week is asked to contact Guernsey Police on 725111 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
Officers are also urging people to be extra vigilant if they are offered any unexpected items of jewellery.
