Everyone from model train collectors to Dolly Parton fans will find something to enjoy at the annual Big Geekend, which returns to the Guernsey Museum this weekend.
The event will allow participants to showcase their hobbies both inside and outside the museum, including war games, cosplay, learning mandarin, microscopes and Morris dancing.
There will also be a special LEGO mini-figure trail throughout the galleries.
Stuart Lean from Just Games will be hosting his ever-popular gaming talk on the Sunday morning, alongside a number of other presentations.
"The Geekend is about bringing together people who are passionate about their interest or collections," said Jo Dowding, the Access & Learning Manager for Guernsey Museums. "It's about embracing what is diverse and eclectic and thinking 'wow, I didn't know that'."
The Guernsey Military History Company will be hosting a display about the hobby of ‘living history', and there will be live music throughout the weekend, including Samba Burros.
The Big Geekend runs from 10:00-15:00 this Saturday and Sunday at the Guernsey Museum at Candie. Tickets are available at the usual museum rates; £6.50 for adults, £2 for students or children, and under 7s are free. Those with a Discovery Pass for Guernsey Museums will have free entry all weekend.
