Beetons fish and chip shop will donate all revenue from food sold this Sunday to support the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
The shop will open this Sunday between 16:30 and 21:30, in what will be the first day of Sunday trading for the business.
Speaking to Express, a spokeswoman for Beetons claimed: “It’s a real one-off – I think in 22 years we’ve never opened on a Sunday”.
The wages of staff who work on the day are also being voluntarily donated to charity alongside “everything in the till”.

The decision of which charity will receive the funds is still yet to be finalised, but the Red Cross was noted as being a potential candidate.
“We’re going to see how much we raise first… but we’ve got the Red Cross in mind as we get to see exactly where the money goes,” they said.
“We need to have a chat with the girls as this is their baby, they’re from Latvia and are very concerned with what’s going on."
The shop will be decorated in a Ukrainian colours and the staff will also be wearing yellow and blue on the evening.
