The L'islet fish and chip shop has been targeted in an attempted break in.
Guernsey Police say it happened sometime between 10:00 Wednesday 11 December and 15:00 the following day.
It's alleged someone, described by police as "unknown person(s)" tried to get into the chippy at Les Petites Mielles, St Sampson.
"They have attempted to gain entry through the secure windows and doors," said a police spokesperson. "Entry was not made to the premises but damage has been caused at the attempted entry points."
Witnesses are asked to call Guernsey Police on 725111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
