Guernsey Police are investigating damage at the Queens Road Pharmacy, which they believe suggest someone was trying to gain access to the property.
The damage was at the entrance of the building, where the glazing was smashed.
Officers said it was suspected the damage was caused by a person attempting to force their way into the pharmacy, which is to the rear of the building pictured above. When the glass was smashed the alarms sounded, notifying Guernsey Police.
"The Pharmacy alarms sounded at 03:00, Wednesday 4 July 2018 and Police are keen to speak with any person that may have been in the vicinity or have any information concerning the above incident," a spokesperson said.
"Should any person have any information they are asked to contact T/PS 114 Flatres on 725111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Two people were recently sent to prison for robbing the pharmacy at Boots in the middle of the morning.
There have also been a number of other attempted break ins and incidents of criminal damage across the island this year. Guernsey Police have said some are linked, while others are not. There is nothing to suggest this latest attempted break in is linked to any previous incidents at this time.
