GADOC Presents: Guys and dolls 

From Saturday the 30th of March, GADOC will return to the stage with their long-awaited performance of the timeless classic, ‘Guys and Dolls’!  

The glamorous musical will take place in the Beau Sejour Theatre, with a total of 8 shows over 7 days. Described as an ‘oddball romantic comedy’, packed full of the best show tunes; this performance is sure to captivate and enthral all audiences.  

“From the dicey streets of New York City to smouldering Havana nights, this timelessly vibrant musical follows the high-stakes lives, loves and lies of a pair of big city gamblers and the dolls who want to tame them.”

Art at the Park: ‘A Brush with Nature’s Palette’ by Wendy Griffin 

If you’re looking to relax and unwind after the Easter Celebrations, you’ve come to the right place!  

Open from Tuesday the 2nd of April, Wendy Griffin’s latest exhibition will bring the beauty and serenity of local nature into the Art at the Park Gallery, at the Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum within Saumarez Park.  

The exhibition will feature a variety of delightful pastels, along with gorgeous oil paintings of local landscapes and seascapes; many of which have been painted ‘en plein air’. 

The show is free to enter, and both the gallery and museum are access-friendly. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Guernsey and save a space in your diary today. 

That Bubble Show 2024 

For our third entry, we’re heading over to the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts, for a seriously special show.  

Experience the enchanting world of bubbles on April the 6th and 7th, as Chloe Ferguson, a Guinness World Record-holding Bubbleologist, presents her debut theatrical production, 'That Bubble Show’!  

The awe-inspiring performance promises mesmerising displays of light, smoke, and bubbles, creating a visual masterpiece that will captivate audiences of all ages; making it the perfect event for a family outing.  

A total of 3 performances will take place; two on Saturday the 6th of April, and one matinee performance at 2pm on Sunday the 7th. The theatre is quickly filling up - follow the link below to pick up your tickets today! 

Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition 2024 - LAST CHANCE 

If you’ve not yet admired the stunning display of wildlife photographs, currently on show within the Candie Museum - this upcoming week is your last chance! Adorning the walls of the Brain White Gallery, the prestigious ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ exhibition is on loan from the Natural History Museum, and features an exceptional variety of fascinating images; capturing animal behaviour, spectacular species and the breath-taking diversity of the natural world.  

“Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most prestigious photography event of its kind, providing a global platform that showcases some of the best photography talent from around the world.”  

This exhibition will be closing its doors on Sunday the 7th of April, so be sure to keep some time free to marvel at the incredible beauty our natural world has to offer. Candie Museum and Art Gallery is open daily between 10am and 4pm. Tickets are obtainable from the front desk of the Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery at Candie, or come free with the Discovery pass.
