2024 Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition

Event by Guernsey Arts Supported by Guernsey Electricity’s Power to the People Fund.

Kicking off 2024 with a bang, the long-awaited Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition returns next Friday the 26th of January!

Guernsey Arts are proud to present a display of extraordinary snapshots of wildlife found in the Bailiwick, hosted in our Greenhouse Gallery within Candie Museum. The exhibition features the work of over 60 local wildlife photographers, giving viewers a unique insight into the vibrant world usually missed by the naked eye.

To accompany the exhibition, The Brian White Gallery, also located within Candie Museum, will host the ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2024’ exhibition, on loan from the iconic Natural History Museum in London. Don’t miss your chance to immerse yourself in all the beauty our natural world has to offer. More information can be found on the Guernsey Arts website.

Royal Opera House Presents - Rusalka

If you’re passionate about performance art, or have an appreciation for poetic and contemporary storytelling, make sure you keep Saturday the 27th of January free on your calendar. The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts will be opening their theatre for a screening of The Royal Opera’s emotive ‘Rusalka’; a lyric fairytale that reveals our uneasy relationship with the natural world and humanity’s attempts to own and tame it.

“Rusalka, a water spirit, lives with her family in the pure waters of the forest lake. When she falls in love with a Prince, she sacrifices her voice and leaves her home in the hope of finding true love in a new world – a world that does not love her back.” The beautiful show is sung in Czech, featuring English subtitles.
