Guernsey Arts are proud to be a part of Europe's 'Rendez-vous aux jardins' which is taking place for the first time within Guernsey's Candie Gardens this weekend.
Between Friday 2 and Sunday 4 June, Candie Gardens will join more than 2300 gardens and public parks in France which are taking part in the initiative, as well as more than 500 gardens in 20 other European countries.
This year represents the 20th anniversary that the initiative has been run by the French Ministry of Culture and will be celebrating music within public gardens, parks and spaces.
Being a French event, Guernsey Arts are delighted to be honouring the legacy of Victor Hugo and his love of Guernsey's flora and seascapes. The musical programme is inspired by Hugo's own moniker for the Channel Islands - 'the gardens bathed by the sea'.
As part of Guernsey Arts' ongoing fundraising programme, Guernsey Arts will be hosting a very special 60s themed afternoon tea at The Duke of Richmond Hotel - part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection on 30 July.
It will be compèred by Tim Langlois, with a mystery guest and a few surprises.
Tickets are available costing from £40 per person with tables of ten available. So why not 'come together' to celebrate this special anniversary whilst raising money to support the wonderful Guernsey Arts scene.
Save the date for the Twist & Shout exhibition, sponsored by Skipton International, being held at Guernsey Museums & Galleries too.
