An Introduction to Photojournalism with Tom Videlo Supported by Guernsey Arts

Following on from his feature in the Photography Now exhibition, Guernsey-born photojournalist Tom Videlo will be holding two free introductory workshops. The first session, taking place on Saturday the 10th, will focus on what makes an interesting story or project, how to plan and undertake it, and how to distribute the finished work.

You will share your story ideas with the group before producing a photo story during the week that follows the first session. The second session, taking place on the following Saturday 17th of February, will involve sharing the work you have produced, with feedback from Tom and the other participants, and advice on how to develop them further. All that is required is enthusiasm and some ideas.

Both sessions will take place between 10am and midday, at the Elizabeth College Art Studios. To find out more, or to secure your place, please email: astephens@elizabethcollege.gg.

If you’re a jazz enthusiast with an appreciation for soulful musical talent, or even if you’re just looking for a wonderful evening out to end your week on a high; this is certainly one for the diary.

Valentine Pottery Experience For Two

Experience the joy of crafting pottery together in a uniquely entertaining Valentine's adventure for two! For one night only, on Wednesday the 14th of February, Iris and Dora open their studio doors for an exciting night of wheel work, handbuilding, games and challenges.

“This experience guarantees laughter and excitement with a cheeky twist on the typical pottery class – think Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore vibes!” The team invites you to celebrate with a bottle of your favourite wine or fizz, which you can bring to enjoy while you get creative. As an added treat the ticket price even includes a sharing platter for 2. Your uniquely sentimental masterpieces will be ready to collect and enjoy after 4-6 weeks.

Still got some gaps in the dairy?
