Arrest made after man sustains "serious facial injuries"

Police are investigating after a man sustained serious facial injuries in an altercation at the Bridge on Monday afternoon.

Police are investigating an altercation between two men at around 16:40 on Bank Holiday Monday near to the bus stop at the roundabout on the north-end of The Bridge.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the altercation who has not yet come forward. This includes anyone in a vehicle passing through the area at the time who may have dashcam footage.
