Guernsey Police are looking for a man who was walking along Upland Road at 20:30 on Sunday 17 November as he may be able to help their investigation into an alleged assault that night.
The alleged incident happened in a nearby area.
The man who was walking along Upland Road had crossed over to avoid a man and woman who were walking along the same road towards the Grange.
"The couple may have been arguing or appearing agitated," said Guernsey Police, who also said that "the female was carrying a small dog in her arms."
Guernsey Police are keen to identify the couple and think the man walking along the same road may be able to help with the investigation.
He is asked to call Guernsey Police on 725111.
