Parents and carers can now submit applications for School Uniform Grants to Social Security for the 2023-2024 academic year.
The Committee for Employment and Social Security said the "quickest and easiest way to apply for a School Uniform Grant is by completing the online form available at gov.gg/schooluniformgrant".
Alternatively, a paper application form can be requested by emailing incomesupport@gov.gg or by calling 221000.
For parents and carers who are not in receipt of Income Support, proof of income, rent and interest on loans must be submitted with the application form.
School Uniform Grants are issued annually by ESS and aim to provide all children with a basic school uniform. The amount granted is determined by the annual household income and allowed expenses, so not all applicants will be eligible for a full uniform grant.
In order to receive the school uniform grant before the start of the Autumn Term, applications must be submitted by Wednesday 23 August. However, applications can be made up until the Easter holidays.
No grants will be issued before Monday 24 July to allow for applications to be processed.
