Animal charity shares appeal for "missing" pugs

Tuesday 01 June 2021

A new appeal for information has been put out, more than two months after four pugs went missing from the Valnord Hill area.

The dogs were first reported missing on 29 March, with the last sighting between 09:00 and 10:00 that morning.

In posters put up by the GSPCA on behalf of the pugs' owner - who is currently in prison - three of the dogs are described as beige in colour, and the other is black.

One dog is very distinctive as, due to a birth defect, it only has half an ear on one side. At the time of its disappearance, one of the beige pugs is reported to have been "heavily pregnant" and due to give birth any day.

The GSPCA would like to speak to anyone who has seen anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, which includes people who have been offered a pug puppy in the last two months.

The two pugs used on the 'missing' poster are only a likeness as photographs of the actual pugs could not be obtained.

Anyone with information should call the GSPCA on 257261.
