104mph winds have been recorded in Alderney as the island bears the brunt of Storm Ciaran.
It has been a rough morning down the Alderney Quay, with reports of toppled yachts and broken masts.
Meanwhile, the States of Alderney have said that emergency responders and those involved in providing essential services are being impeded by people who are out watching the storm.
In a social media post the States said: “Please stay at home until the worst of the storm has moved through. Those venturing out unnecessarily are putting themselves in danger as well as hindering emergency responders and those tasked with recovery for the island.”
