The Albert Pier will be shut off to the public on Sunday so that parking spaces can be repainted.
A police notice has accompanied the suspension notice at the entrance to the car park, which will be closed while the work takes place.
It is hoped the work will be completed on the day. Motorists are being reminded that any vehicle parked there on Sunday will be removed at the owner's expense.
