Airline urges planning ahead of major road closure

Saturday 10 February 2024

Aurigny passengers should allow extra time to get to the airport from next week due to planned electricity works from the Le Chene traffic lights, the airline has said.

From 12 February the road to Le Bourg just past the Deerhound will close for four weeks, and a four-mile diversion around the northern perimeter of the airport will be the only way to access the terminal by vehicle from the east.

Public transport is still running, although there are significant changes to routes and scheduling.

For example, the 95 bus which runs a loop between Town Terminus and the Airport forecourt will terminate outbound services in St Martins village before turning around.

Other buses which serve the Airport – 94, 93, 92, 91 and 71 – will still visit the stop but will follow the diversion route.

The last bus stop prior to the diversion is Le Chene Hotel.

Passengers are advised to check bus schedules for impacts.
