A woman was left suffering head injuries after an incident on Rozel Road, St Peter Port, yesterday afternoon.
She was walking along the road at around 14:55 when something happened between her and the man she was with.
They had been seen walking in the areas around Courtil St. Jacques, Green Lanes and Rozel Road.
Anyone who saw them is asked to contact Guernsey Police or Crimestoppers.
