Activities will showcase Youth Commission work

Tuesday 23 March 2021

The Youth Commission is showcasing a variety of the charity's work to the wider community at a Town pop-up shop this week.

The Children and Young People’s Charity has taken up the OSA pop-up shop in Smith Street until Saturday.

For young people, there are dedicated drop-in sessions to access support with their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or Prince’s Trust programmes, activity taster sessions that range from creativity to skill building and the chance to meet the services support team.

Adults can attend to find out more about what the charity teaches young people across our schools, the chance to meet and talk to the charities support team, and a coffee morning for those who would be interested in volunteering for the charity.

There is also a dedicated morning for other charities to find out more about the support they can access from the Youth Commission through its membership scheme. The full schedule of activities can be found on the charity's social media pages by searching @youthcommgsyald on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

“We are incredibly grateful to OSA for making this opportunity available to us," said Youth Commission Operational Officer Aaron Davies.

"We will be welcoming members of the community to the pop up shop during the week to showcase the work we carry out on a daily basis across the Bailiwick with children, young people and their families.”
