Accessible parking spaces trialled at coastal car parks

Tuesday 14 January 2025

Parking spaces have been set aside for disabled badge holders at 11 coastal car parks.

They will be made permanent if they prove to be popular.

Colin Le Page, Strategy & Policy Manager for Traffic and Highway Services, said: "To improve transport accessibility for our community, we've worked alongside the States Disability Officer to install temporary accessible parking spaces in the following coastal car parks around the island:

  • Fort Hommet
  • Petit Bot
  • Les Amarreurs
  • L'Eree
  • Port Soif
  • Vazon
  • Bordeaux
  • L'Ancresse
  • Richmond
  • Grandes Rocques
  • Chouet

"These are mostly situated around kiosks and toilets, though some have been placed at viewing points.

"We will be looking to make these temporary spaces permanent if they prove popular."
