Although at first it was believed that the winning Channel Islands Christmas Lottery ticket was sold in Jersey, it's now understood the ticket was likely to have been bought at Vale Service Station in Guernsey.
A spokesperson for the garage said the team was "98% sure" the ticket was sold there, as numbers surrounding the winning number had been stocked there.
The lucky winner can claim a top prize of £1million, which was guaranteed for the first time this year.
A number of other smaller prizes are up for grabs, ranging from a second prize of £50,000 and 25 prizes of £500.
