60,000 litres of fuel was needed to satisfy the latest superyacht to pay a visit to Guernsey, as the Eminence stopped at St Peter Port Harbour on Saturday.

The 2008 Abeking Rasmussen built 78-metre motor yacht arrived at 14:00 before refuelling and setting sail again during the evening.

With Boatworks currently charging 72p per litre for marine fuel, that means the short stop off saw the owner spend just over £43,000 locally giving the economy a boost.

Oceanskies acted as Handling Agents during the visit.

The vessel, which has a sauna, gym and 10-seat cinema on board, was owned by former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and businessman Alexander Khloponin until last year when it was sold to an American businessman.

Eminence is available for charter, with accommodation for up to 14-guests and 19-crew members.

The 78.43m boat has a top speed of 16.5kn and a maximum cruising range of 6000.0nm at 12.0kn, thanks to its two 2028.0hp Caterpillar 3516-B-DITA Diesel engines.

She was designed by Reymond Langton Design, and the interior design was created by Susan Schuyler Smith.
