The second '00' digit number plate to go to auction has sold for a tenth of the cost of its predecessor.
Although the 007 numberplate before it in 2015 sold for £240,000.
About 100 people attended the auction at Martel Maides Auction Room and the winning bid for '006' was around its estimate as it sold for £23,500.
Two '00' registration plates have been issued by the States of Guernsey, the first '007' picked up £240,000 at auction in 2015 because of its obvious links to Ian Fleming's famous James Bond character. Its original estimate was £60,000.
Although the auction on Tuesday night was popular, business development manager Jason Yendell said it's unlikely that more '00' numbers will be issued.
"They are the only two in existence, the States have to issue them and they have no plan to release another one as I know," he said.
The most expensive number plate to be sold in the UK went for £518,000 "25 O" as many top-end Ferraris feature the number 250 in their name.
