Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop's 30 Rides in 30 Days will return for 2019, once again raising money for Les Bourgs Hospice.
30 Rides in 30 Days will set people the challenge of riding their bicycle for at least one hour a day, every day from the 27 April – 26 May. Participants can take part as an individual or as part of a team.
This year Julius Baer, the events sponsor, celebrates its 30 year anniversary in Guernsey and to mark the occasion 15 members of staff will be taking part in the challenge. Employees are also taking part in other ’30/30’ related events such as walks, bay swims, runs and yoga with all money raised going to Les Bourgs Hospice.

Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop 30 Rides in 30 Days first took place in 2008 with just 36 participants. Now entering its 12th year the challenge plans to have over 100 people take part in 2019.
Ian Brown, Managing Director of Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop, who created the challenge said: “I’m really grateful to Julius Baer for supporting us this year. I hope the partnership helps us beat our previous fundraising totals for Les Bourgs Hospice.”
“It’s great to have such high interest in this event year-after-year; we do have regular participants who come back every year but it’s nice to see new faces take part. I look forward to seeing everyone out there.”
In the previous 11 events, the challenge has hosted 384 riders who have raised more than £650,000 for Les Bourgs.
Trish De Carteret, Fundraising Administrator at Les Bourgs Hospice, said: “All of us at Les Bourgs Hospice are so thankful to Ian Brown and his team of riders for fundraising for us every year. We are indebted to them and everyone who takes part in or supports these fundraising events.”

“The event is not only a great way of raising money but also a way to become more active. I’m taking part in the Cycle challenge this year for the 3rd time and I hope I continue to ride as often as I can after the 30 days is up.”
