Organisations which could benefit from the next round of grants from the Social Investment Fund (SIF) have been invited to apply for a cut of the cash available.
Last year, more than £1 million was split between 11 different organisations, all of which support the Bailiwick’s charitable sector.
Last year's recipients included Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, UnLtd (the Ron Short Centre), Health Connections, the Trauma Recovery Centre, and Autism Guernsey.
2023 also saw the first SIF grant awarded to Alderney with £136,500 given to the Alderney Wildlife Trust, to cover staff costs, ecological training, survey equipment, and IT infrastructure over the next three years.
This year's SIF grants - as in previous years - must go towards running costs and salaries, capital costs, or multi-year funding, and must be registered charities or Non-Profit Organisations operating within or to benefit the Bailiwick.
The Social Investment Fund was set up as a charitable company in 2020, using both public and privately-donated funds to invest in the third sector and improve joint working between the government and the third sector.
Its grants are specifically aimed at organisations and projects which are "most needed within the Bailiwick" and where the money will "focus on people in our Bailiwick community, on the services and support they need, and are of benefit to our community".
Help is available to groups wanting to apply for a grant from the Social Investment Fund, through Sadie Siviter de Paucar who can be contacted via email at Sadie.SiviterdePaucar@gov.gg.
