Plans have been submitted to demolish an Open Market home and replace it, along with an additional 17 Local Market homes offering 'prime views over St Peter Port'.
The applicant, Paul Body, wants to pull down the existing four-bedroom White Lodge on Les Vardes, a 3,232 sqm site, and replace with another four-bed house.
He also wants to build more than a dozen two- and three-bedroom homes split over two blocks to the north and south of the sloping boundaries.
If approved, the site would be made up of two semi-detached three bed homes and 15 two-bed terraced homes totalling 2,150sqm of new floor area.
Widened vehicle access onto the one-way road is also sought.
The plans, if passed, would see the current four car parking spaces increased to 27.
The site Includes a protected monument - the garden wall bordering George Road - but this isn’t planned to be touched according to filings.
There have been two applications this decade seeking to demolish the house and rebuild it along with up to two additional homes, but both were refused by planning.
The site sits within the St Peter Port Main Centre Outer Area, and the town conservation area.
Sales records indicate White Lodge sold for £2,399,000 just over a year ago.
