The Fortnite World Cup is set to be available for everyone to enter, Epic Games has announced.

The maker of the popular video game, which has attracted 125 million players in less than a year, announced in May that 100 million dollars would be made available for competitions around the world in the 2018/19 season.

And now Epic Games say that prize pool will be available to win at all stages of the Fortnite World Cup, which culminates towards the end of 2019.

Fortnite World Cup qualifiers will begin later in 2018, while qualifying for the competition will be based on merit, with Epic saying they won’t be selling teams or franchises, and won’t allow third-party leagues to do so either.

The 100 million dollar prize pot will be split between events at different levels around the world, giving everyone a chance to earn a chunk.

Epic Games say that rules and specifics about platforms and other details are on the way.
