Every parent knows getting kids to brush their teeth can be a challenge so a smart toothbrush that uses games could be the answer.

Playbrush is launching its first electric toothbrush called Smart Sonic, which uses Bluetooth to link up to interactive games on a tablet and works according to how long you brush your teeth.

The app provides access to several games depending on the subscription you opt for, but you get access to four free games with every Sonic Smart toothbrush. Children can help save their parents money by brushing to collect points which can be put towards subscription costs.

“Users will for the first time to be able to find information about the games and also cleaning progress in one place,” said Tolulope Ogunsina, Playbrush founder and CTO.

“It’s a great way to simplify control for parents, and we are really excited too about the great new games we have developed.”

Among the games is a multiplayer title, Utoothia Dance, where two children can brush and play at the same time.

The Smart Sonic builds on the company’s first Smart toothbrush released earlier this year, which was an attachment for existing toothbrushes.

The Playbrush Smart Sonic toothbrush is available to pre-order now for £29.99 ahead of release in September.
