Team Leader (40hrs) - IQ Guernsey

Description

  • Directs, administers, and controls the day-to-day operations and activities;
  • Coordinates operation strategies and activities to ensure the provision of outstanding customer service while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines and requirements, ensuring efficiency and economy;
  • Manages profit and loss, including the optimal performance of facility operations, to achieve or exceed budgets and key performance indicators.



Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Duty Manager in the Managers absence;
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to facility management;
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the store, ensuring that tills are accurately cashed up and appropriate documentation is completed in line with company procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with an established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high-quality service and outstanding customer care;
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and availability levels across the store prioritising off sales and low levels;
  • Calculate staffing cover ensuring appropriate levels of till cover are maintained;
  • Accurately implement cycle and promotion changes to drive customer offer in-store and promote key lines;
  • Provide and train others to deliver great service and regularly observe an individuals interaction to provide feedback;
  • Ensure the correct procedures are followed for wasting stock;
  • Drive an accurate till operation by colleagues in-store to reduce risk and loss and drive productivity;
  • Adhere to and correctly implement shop floor and stock processes, policies and procedures;
  • Ensure the correct procedures are followed for wasting and reducing stock;
  • Ensure all employees receive the appropriate training and education, including ongoing compliance training;
  • Ensure that customers know what products and services are on offer;
  • Ensure that customers can pay quickly and easily and leave the store feeling positive;
  • Establish good working relationships and clear channels of communication with the respective team;
  • Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent;
  • Ensures and promotes the development of the team/succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development;
  • Assist with moves within the section;
  • Maintain high standards of the sales floor, warehouse, back of the house and till point hygiene;
  • Use of tills and other equipment most accurately and efficiently;
  • Ensure stock is presented in a visually appealing and tidy way;
  • Handle customer refunds/ queries and complaints efficiently;
  • Ensure all damaged stock is removed from sale and waste is correctly recorded;
  • Replenish and manage stock;
  • Advise stock orders if required;
  • Assist stock control when carrying out stock checks daily and full stock takes when needed;
  • Assist with moves within the section;
  • Assist in Deliveries, book in and check as needed if stock control is not available;
  • CRTs (which is submitting proof of educational discount to Apple), when needed;
  • Use commercial documentation to access information relating to your department;
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas;
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures;
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment;
  • Watch out for theft, fraudulent methods of payment and deceitful purchases;
  • Support and help colleagues with their work and get behind company initiatives as
  • and when they arise;
  • As necessary, work out of the role in order to meet customer and business needs.

  • Current First Aid at Work Certificate (Preferred);
