Grade: With effect from 1 January 2023 the salary scale will be - EGV - £57,075 - £60,267 or SO1 - £60,302 - £67,925 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the HSC Transformation Team. This person will be part of the management team that is driving systems and organisational change in Health and Social Care.

 

The heart of this change is to implement a new, modern Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that supports patient care through digital medical records, managing clinics, emergency medicine, intensive care, prescribing and patient administration.

 

This programme will make a positive tangible difference for the citizens and visitors to Guernsey when accessing healthcare services.

The Programme/Project Manager will play a central role in the planning and delivery of organisational change for the EPR Programme as part of the States of Guernsey’s HSC Transformation Programme. The Programme/ Project Manager will undertake all aspects of programme management on allocated programmes/projects, as part of a delivery team, to ensure that business requirements are clearly defined, benefits are delivered as defined in the business cases and risks are managed appropriately.

Appointment to this role will be subject to the following pre-employment checks which will be completed following an offer of employment:

 

  • Satisfactory references which must include one from the candidate's current line manager
  • Satisfactory, Basic Police Check, which can be obtained, at the candidates own expense, from the Guernsey Vetting Bureau, New Jetty, White Rock, St Peter Port, after an offer of appointment has been made. Convictions likely to be considered relevant to this post include crimes involving, but not limited to, theft, violence, dishonesty, fraud, vulnerable individuals and children
  • Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations
  • Possession of a valid Employment Permit

 

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
