About you
We are looking for an innovative and dynamic science teacher with experience of successfully enabling children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties to fulfil their potential.
To be successful, you will have the ability to build excellent relationships with school staff, parents and professionals from other agencies and have high expectations of students. What's more, you will have an understanding of strategies and systems which promote successful learning and positive behaviour, together with a strong empathy and desire to meet the needs of our students.
About Les Voies
Les Voies School is a specialist educational provision for students with significant Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, many of whom have involvement from other agencies, such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS), Social Services and the Child, Youth and Community Tribunal.
The aim is to ensure that as a school the needs of all students are met and that they have opportunities commensurate with their peers.
The organisational arrangement for teaching may vary but will generally be in small group settings supported by a Teaching Assistant. All teachers are required to undertake the role of pastoral tutor for a group of named students.
