The States of Guernsey are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join their friendly team within HSC Adult Physical Health in the beautiful island of Guernsey based within the Channel Islands.
This post offers a full relocation package.
This post will give the lucky post-holder a unique opportunity to gain experience working as part of a flexible Occupational Therapy Service and a wider multi-disciplinary team in a variety of settings. This will be working within the Physical Health inpatient and community settings including service users’ own homes.
Under the guidance of an Advanced Band 7 Occupational Therapist you will have the exciting opportunity to rotate across a number of specialities. This includes acute medical, Accident & Emergency, surgical, orthopaedic, inpatient rehabilitation and the community. There may also be development and an opportunity to work in additional physical specialities in the future.
You will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Providing an efficient, effective and co-ordinated Occupational Therapy Service to the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
The Occupational Therapist will maintain clinical records and participate in service development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy within the Hospital Services Directorate as appropriate.
The post holder is professionally accountable to the Advanced Occupational Therapist and is responsible to the Occupational Therapy Lead (Physical Health).
