Grade: Home Support Staff Grade 3-7 - £32,400 - £37,816 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking to appoint a HTCU Executive Officer to join the team within Bailiwick Law Enforcement.

The post holder will report directly to the High Tech Crime Unit manager but will be directed by the CCTV Coordinator and other BLE supervisors as/when necessary.

The post holder will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Law Enforcement staff at all levels as well as external agencies and provide administrative and technical support to the operational activities of the High Tech Crime Unit.

The post holder is required to become a B Division Special Constable following which they will conduct supportive investigatory functions.

In order to satisfy residency criteria you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 3 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey. Convictions likely to be considered relevant to this post include crimes involving Theft, Dishonesty and Fraud. 

 

Note - Internal applicants are required to inform their Line Manager before applying for any States of Guernsey positions. Internal references may be taken up prior to interview.

 

Appointment to this role will be subject to the following pre-employment checks which will be completed following an offer of employment:

  • Satisfactory references which must include one from the candidate's current line manager;

  • Satisfactory Law Enforcement Vetting;

  • Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations;

  • Possession of a valid Employment Permit.
