A great career progression move for an experienced compliance professional with a local bank. The role holder will provide support to the MLRO, MLCO and the Compliance Officer for site visits and thematic reviews undertaken by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. Deputising for the MLRO in their absence, including receiving, considering and, if appropriate, externalising IDRs, providing receipts to those that have submitted IDRs, updating the IDR registers, dealing with consent requests and IDR related queries e.g., advice in relation to tipping off concerns. Other responsibilities will include facilitating Internal and External audits pertaining to Financial Crime, assisting in implementing and overseeing a robust Financial Crime control framework and aiding the completion of internal and external reporting for local committees, board and the Regulator as well as to Group. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of compliance experience with an international financial services organisation (preferably in banking industry), a strong understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance and international sanctions obligations across in Guernsey and an applicable qualification for example an ICA Diploma. Slightly reduced working hours and flexibility may be considered.
