A fantastic opportunity to join this independent company which promotes integrity, proportionality and professional excellence generating confidence in the Bailiwick as a jurisdiction on an 18 month contract assignment. Working within the Risk and Operations department the aim of the project is to utilise new and useful technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of a particular process. The successful candidate will develop a new portal that will revolutionise the current process. The role holder will work closely with management to prioritise business, infrastructure and information needs, take responsibility for querying and analysing data from relational databases and understanding data quality, data models, data dictionaries and data taxonomies, use a range of Machine Learning techniques (both supervised and unsupervised learning), Natural Language Processing, Optimisation and Cognitive Computing solutions to solve problems, analyse and interpret complex digital data to discover knowledge and assist decision making, use visualisation techniques and dash-boarding tools to present information and findings (e.g., R Shiny, Power BI), writing production-grade code in Python, R and SQL. The role holder will use their project management skills to achieve change, delivery milestones and assist others whilst building good working relationships with third part contractors and engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels.
