An exciting brand new opportunity at a modern and independent compliance and financial crime risk consultancy business with offices in both Guernsey and Jersey. The role holder will join a growing team in this new senior position and provide support to the Managing Director in further developing the compliance business. Responsibilities will include assisting the Managing Director with developing and implementing the Guernsey Compliance strategy, working as the primary link between the compliance team and the managing director, ensuing seamless communication and implementation of compliance strategies are upheld across the team, hold the named roles of MLRO, MLCO and CO for various licences, have direct line management responsibilities for the wider compliance team, to included training and support as required and client relationship management of a varied client base; providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of compliance matters. Candidates must hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA), or otherwise be qualified by experience. They should be able to demonstrate ability to lead, develop and manage a team effectively, have previous experience in a senior compliance role and comprehensive knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory environment, experience of leading interaction with the regulator would be preferred, however a strong understanding of this process with willingness to lead in the future would be considered and high levels of integrity and professionalism in handing sensitive matters.
