Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have a fantastic team at the GSPCA from the staff to the volunteers and with 3000 animals through our doors every year the work is really 24/7 365 days a year.”
“Working for the GSPCA is hugely varied and every day we face new challenges.”
“Although we do see some very sad and upsetting sights such as sick and cruelly treated animals, but we make a huge difference to their lives every day as well as helping our community in many ways.”
“One really important aspect of these roles is working with the public, as without their support we couldn’t achieve so much, so customer relations is key to any applicant.”
“The posts are being advertised as we are exceptionally busy at this time and some of our team have returned to universities.”
“The full time posts offer a hugely exciting opportunity to be not only help with the daily care of the animals the Shelter but also a number of night shifts each week.”
“There are hours available most days, especially for those that can help on weekends and bank holidays.”
“Applications can be downloaded or please contact the front desk and they can send a pack out.”
