Due to the high uptake in Home Visit service, Sure have recruited a second Community Fibre Officer. The team visit customers’ homes to help with the smooth transition from copper broadband to Fibre, for both landline and broadband services. Sure’s Home Visit team are here to ensure digital inclusion and support for the elderly and vulnerable islanders.

Glen Falla has joined the Sure Fibre Home Visit team as the second Sure Community Fibre Officer, alongside Tom Pinsard who helped launch the service in 2023. Glen worked in the Sure High Street shop for seven years, where he has already helped thousands of customers across a broad range of enquiries about mobile, broadband and home phone services.

Mike Fawkner-Corbett, Head of Consumer at Sure, said: “Glen’s knowledge and experience will be an asset to the Home Visit team, helping people in the community to feel confident about the switch over, remove any concerns or questions and to help them understand the benefits of moving to fibre for them, and Guernsey as a whole.”

Glen said: “Being able to join the Home Visit Service team is truly amazing. Getting to see the difference you make in customers’ lives daily, especially for those that can’t go into the shop or just prefer to speak to people in person, is truly heart-warming and I am immensely proud to be able to help in this way.

“We’re here to help people understand how easy it is to switch to fibre, it’s important that everyone in the community feels included and confident about the switch over.”

Sure customers can arrange a home visit with the team by calling 700700.

Every landline and broadband service in Guernsey will be changing to fibre by the end of 2026. 700 new homes a month are released as fibre ready, and everyone will receive a Sure letter and flyer about switching over to fibre when their home is ready. Sure Fibre teams can help people in store, by email, over the phone and now at home too.
