Important changes and improvements have been made to the student grant application process, which includes a streamlined online application form and the removal of paper-based applications, along with an improved method of renewal for students in year 2 and above of their studies.

Each year the Committee for Education, Sport and Culture allocates funding to support Guernsey and Alderney students studying further and higher education courses.

All applications for funding are now fully means tested to ensure that funding reaches those who need it most.

Information on how to apply is available on www.gov.gg/studentfinance which includes a link to a calculation sheet for checking eligibility, based on income and allowances. This will provide the opportunity for applicants to ascertain if they are eligible for any funding and if so, how much.

Independent and dependent students in year 2 and above, of their study, are now required to complete only an annual review document, which can be found on the website. For further information, please see www.gov.gg/studentfinance.
