Achieving the highest mark in a STEP diploma examination has led to one Butterfield employee receiving a top award at this year’s STEP Guernsey Branch Conference.

Jess Dodds, a Trust and Fiduciary services administrator at Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, achieved the highest mark in the Trust Creation: Law and Practice module as part of her STEP diploma.

Ms Dodds was presented with her award at the local STEP conference which was held last month.

“It was great to be recognised at the STEP conference and to receive the award for my mark in the trust creation module,” said Ms Dodds.

“I am studying towards the STEP Diploma to broaden my understanding of the industry and to equip me with the skills I will need to perform my role to the best of my ability. The decision to take on professional study has been key in developing the knowledge I will need to progress in my career but more vitally it is helping to build my confidence in my abilities to deal with the range of different demands a role in Trust and Company Administration requires of you.”

Paul Hodgson, Managing Director Butterfield Trust, said: “This STEP Award is a great accomplishment for Jess and she should be very proud of her efforts.”

“Butterfield is committed to supporting staff excellence through professional development and training. Studying for professional qualifications is hard work so it’s really encouraging that so many of our employees are keen to further their professional development, with many achieving top marks in the process.”
