KATHERINE Dean, a lawyer with a wealth of experience, has joined the fiduciary team at AO Hall.

Ms Dean has a varied and extensive background in both private practice and in-house roles in the trust services and business/ entrepreneurial sectors. Most recently she spent six years as head of legal in the Dubai office of a leading publishing company based in both London and Guernsey. Prior to that, she was head of legal and compliance at Rothschild Trust in Guernsey for four years.

Ms Dean will deal with contentious and non-contentious trust work. She said she was attracted to AO Hall because of its reputation for excellence in terms of legal advice and services.

‘I am looking forward to an active role, working closely with clients and expanding my trust experience while working in a dynamic and supportive environment,’ she said.

‘Over the course of my career, I have been fortunate to work in London, Dubai and Guernsey, gaining experience in both the private sectors and in-house spheres. I hope that this experience will assist me in making a valuable contribution to AO Hall and its clients.’

AO Hall partner Alison Ozanne said that Ms Dean would be a fantastic asset to the fiduciary team, which only last month also announced the appointment of Ewan Mackay.

‘Katharine brings with her vast experience in a wide variety of areas and that will be invaluable to the fiduciary team as well as to AO Hall as a whole. We have also worked together several years ago at another leading Guernsey law firm and I am delighted to be able to have the opportunity to work with her again.’

‘Demand for our fiduciary offering is continuing to increase as our reputation for delivering tailored solutions designed to meet our client’s needs grows. It’s extremely important that we have highly competent team members in order to deliver the service that our clients rightly expect.’

Katharine, who has four children, graduated from University College, London, and completed her Law Society finals at the College of Law, Guildford.
