Guernsey charities now have a little longer to apply for some of the funds raised at next year’s Saffery Champness Rotary Walk.

Those organisations seeking financial support for a specific project or initiative now have until the 17 December to submit their applications to the committee. The walk raised £35,000 in 2014 which benefitted nine local charities and organisations. Next year’s walk will take place on 6 June, 2015.

Any charities that would like to apply for funding can find more information about the walk and the application process on the website, www.scrwalk.org.gg.

David Mortimer, chairman of the organising committee said: “Now that registration is open for walkers, we want to encourage as many applications as possible from charities so that we can let the walkers know who they are raising money for.”

A hard copy of the application form is also available the office of Saffery Champness at La Tonnelle House, Les Banques, St Sampson’s. Successful applicants will be informed by the Saffery Champness Rotary Walk Committee in the New Year.

Walkers can register on the same website or by picking up a form from the office of Saffery Champness.
